Luis Ricaurte established Ricaurte Precision Inc. (RPI) in Orange County, Ca. after 20 years of serving in various roles at leading Aerospace and Defense manufacturers.
In addition to CNC mills and lathes, Swiss Screw machines were added to the company’s technology line up to meet additional fabrication requests from medical device and aerospace clients.
Wire EDM technologies were added to our technology line up to meet customer needs for internal corners, thin slots and cavities that transcend material removal capabilities from other cnc machines. Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is a controlled metal-removal process that is used to remove metal through electric spark erosion.
Moved to current 14,400 square foot facilities in Santa Ana, Ca. Our facilities are laid out to maximize efficiency and throughput in all areas of receiving, planning, fabrication, assembly/kitting, QA, QC and shipping.
Received ISO 9001:2008 certification.
Exhibited at first MD&M West Conference (Anaheim Ca.) to share RPI’s fabrication capabilities with medtech engineers and business leaders from the medical device arena.
Implemented a Web-Based ERP System for real time scheduling and traceability of part fabrication and documentation. The system allows our team to access job information real time through company computers and handheld devices.
Received ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Added a 5 Axis systems with 32 pallet, 320 tool capacity for automated, lights out (24/7) machining of complex, tight tolerance parts. The system complements our line of multi-axis mills and other CNC technologies by maximizing efficiencies in fabrication and consistency in quality.
